GET HELP
We understand that each individual and family has specific needs. Next Step is set up in a way where we strive to meet as many of those needs as we possibly can. We want to share Jesus with you and help you through this struggle in life.
Assistance
Next Step offers assistance on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10-1:30.
Please bring a copy of your bill and your photo ID.
We are currently able to help in the following ways:
Utilities
We are able to assist with electric bills through Farmers RECC and Glasgow EPB. We can also assist with bills toward Glasgow Water.
Rent
Need help toward rent? We can work with most landlords in Barren County to help cover a portion of your rent.
Food
We also offer food boxes to those in need. Our food boxes are full to the brim and we are often able to provide milk, eggs, vegetables and other similar items.
How It Works

1
Come To Next Step
No appointment is needed! Just come on by anytime from 10-1:30 on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday. Make sure you have your photo ID and a copy of the bill you're needing assistance with. You'll sign in at the front desk with our volunteer and a counselor will be ready to meet with you shortly. We are unable to provide assistance over the phone at this time.
2
Meet With A Counselor
Our team of counselors are people just like you! They've been through thick and thin and want to share their experience and their hope with you. After signing in at our front desk, you'll meet with our counselors upstairs in a private area where they will hear your story, share the gospel with you and pray for you and your situation.
3
Next Step Coaching
If you are approved for assistance, our Director, Jacob Bryant, will contact you and confirm any needed information.
In order to receive assistance again in the future, you will be required to enroll in Next Step Coaching. This looks different for each person because every situation is unique. We want to walk alongside you as your take your Next Step in your relationship with Jesus Christ and help mend the brokenness in our lives and community.
